Safe Riding in Traffic for Leisure, Commuting & Training

Knowing where to position a bike on the roadway for high visibility is the most critical skill you can learn if you plan to “Share the Road” with cars. This course helps new and seasoned roadway cyclists understand the importance of knowing the Principles of Safe Cycling.

Following the classroom and parking lot drills, students will take to the street, practicing the principles they have learned. After completing this course, students will view “Sharing the Road” in a completely new light, be it behind the wheel of a car or on their bike.

Date/Times:
Saturday, April 21, 2012

12:00 – 4:00 pm
A bicycle and helmet in good working condition are required for this course.

RECOMMENDED FOR:

This course is designed for students 15 years and older who want to know how to safely drive their bike in traffic. Students 12-14 years of age may be considered.  If you feel your teen is mature and skilled enough for this course, please contact us and we'll help you determine if this class is safe for your youngster. 404-273-2558

REQUIREMENTS:

Students will need a bike in good working condition.  If you question the road worthiness of your bike, please take your bike in for a tune-up before the class date.  If you are considering buying a new bike for a growing teen, please do not buy a bike for your youngster "to grow into".  This is a dangerous scenario and will prevent the student from learning confidence and basic riding skills.
